Minnet is married to Tia, works as a freelance journalist, and has authored a book about various scandals within Oakland City. She has partnered with Avery, a local private investigator on her latest exposé on the Silver Hammer Company; exposing its connection to local police corruption and the gang violence.
Minnet met Tia back during their school years where they both hung out in the same social circles. Before Minnet and Tia started dating Minnet had a shortlived relationship with Elizabeth, aka Izzy. Izzy would end up breaking up with Minnet but staying friends, citing Minnet's parents disapproval of them as a main factor. Minnet's family were staunchly against her sexuality and would often berate and belittle her and any potentional partner she would be with. Minnet would end up helping Tia realize she was trans and they'd end up in a relationship. The same troubles would arise with her family but Tia wouldn't leave and instead would, in an uncharacteristically bout of of assertiveness stand up to Minnet's parents. Tia's outburst included a vow of loyality, passion, and protection.
Minnet and Tia would commit to marriage sometime after Minnet finished college. Most of Minnet's family would end up not showing up to the ceremony. Some extended family would attend, congradulating her, denouncing their bigoted kin, and reaffirming their support for her and her union with Tia. This event led to Minnet and Tia settling on a double-barreled surname as she would grow closer with this side of her family. Life would march on for Minnet. She would learn martial arts as a means of self defence; Tia would find this very attractive. She would develop an apprication for classic television. Life was good until a friend, Onyx would bring Donovan, Izzy's husband with them to a casual hang out.
